Gotcha

Feedback

A bug, an element no selector could reach, a feature you wish existed. One person reads it. No account: without a licence key, one message a day; with one, as many as you need.

Before writing, have a look at what has already been reported: yours may be there, with an answer. From the command line, an agent does the same with gotcha tickets and gotcha feedback bug "…" — see the CLI page.

This is about

4000 characters at most. No customer data, please — describe the field, do not paste its content.

For an element Gotcha could not target: what you asked for, and what the element is.

Lifts the one-a-day limit, and tells us who is writing. It is used for nothing else.

What this sends

What you typed above, and nothing else — no capture, no page content. If you give a key, we keep the licence identifier and the address it was bought with, so that we can reply. If you give an email, we keep it for the same reason. The one-a-day limit for messages sent without a key is counted on a salted fingerprint of your network address, held in memory and gone within a day; the address itself is never written down. Your report appears on the public board the moment it is received, as a category and a date; once it has been read, a one-line summary written by the review and a decision replace the placeholder. The message itself is never published. Details on the privacy page.
