Support
Write to hello@saastisfaction.com. One person reads it, so a precise message gets a fast answer.
A bug, an element Gotcha could not target, a wish
The feedback page takes it without an
account: one message a day, as many as you need with a licence key.
An agent does the same from the command line —
gotcha feedback selector "…" --url … --selector … — and
gets a reference back. Both reach the same person as the address above.
Everything reported, and where it stands — received, confirmed, done, declined — is on the support & improvements board. Look there first: yours may already have an answer.
Something is wrong with a capture
Send, if you can:
- What you expected and what you got.
- Your Chrome version, from
chrome://version. - For the extension: any error in the page console when the overlay opens.
- For the CLI: the exact command, and its output with
--json.
Please do not attach a screenshot with customer data in it.
Ironic, given the tool — but --blur exists for exactly this,
and it destroys the pixels rather than covering them.
A licence problem
Run gotcha license and send the line it prints; it carries
the licence identifier and no secret. If the key itself is lost, the email
address you bought with is enough to find it again.
Known limits
- Native browser menus never appear in a capture — an open
<select>, the context menu, autocomplete. They are OS windows, outside the tab's rendering, and no extension can reach them. - System audio from other applications cannot be recorded. Tab capture only reaches the tab's own sound.
- A region taller than the visible viewport is refused for image capture rather than silently truncated.
